Larger-than-life, the five Leane brothers and their sons were lauded for their bravery and military exploits at Gallipoli and the Western Front. But when Wendy Frew opened the genealogy cupboard to learn more, out fell a bunch of Cornish farmers, a family of women’s suffragists and much more.

Saving, downloading, sharing, citing and printing from Trove will be covered. In addition to records of baptisms, marriages and burials, parish chests have been used in England since the 16th century to store records of apprenticeships, militia, parish support, fathers of illegitimate children – and much more. Kerry Farmer will demonstrate how these records can be used to solve many genealogical puzzles.
