Join us for a half day virtual conference dedicated to "Artisanal Ancestors: Tracing Family Craft Traditions"



Speakers include:

Robert Nash, of the Huguenot Society of Australia, will take us back in time to explore the legacy of Huguenot silk weavers

Ruth Graham offers an introduction to the historic guilds that shaped London, highlighting available resources through case studies from Ruth’s own family history

Yvonne Masters will use family history as a binding thread to look at the history of basket making, predominantly in England, and outline its links to other occupations; 

Patrice Connelly will share the latest on her research for her soon-to-be-submitted doctoral thesis on Elizabethan printers

In a pre-recorded interview, Dr Michael Lea and Ruth will explore the history of European-Australian musical instrument makers.
