Family History Connect | Was your ancestor in the British Parliament?

Our 'members-only' series, Family History Connect, feature themed sessions focusing on particular areas of genealogical research.

Sessions are generally facilitated by one of the Society’s wonderful volunteers and this session will take place online.  These sessions are open to all current members of the Society.

Was your ancestor in the British Parliament?

Finding a member of your extended family that was in parliament between 1421 and 1832 can potentially unlock a lot of fascinating information. The History of Parliament books are being progressively put up online and are free to search. Not only are the extensive biographies with sources of a huge number of people, but there is lots of info about their political beliefs, their actions and links to their colleagues. Join Patrice Connelly for a tour of this amazing resource and gain an understanding of the election processes throughout the eras as well as the extensive social history resources available.

This is a members only event that will take place via Zoom.

Bookings are essential for this session.
