County of interest - We'll take a deep dive into the historic County of Fife with Cathryn Murphy.

Topic: Occupations and life beyond what we think

Margaret Neyle will take us into the She-Town of Dundee with a look at how the women of the town contributed to various industries to ensure the town prospered.

Lorraine Brothers is going to take us on a journey through the history of bagpipes and how her ancestor played a part in the history.

Margaret Terry will then tell us about the woollen and tweed mills of the industrial town of Hawick where her family worked and also the unique celebrations of the Common Riding in Borders towns which dates back to the 1514 Battle of Flodden.

And we will also look at a short quirky video from the National Records of Scotland "The Experiences of Women Workers in the Second World War in Scotland" by Dr Moffat.

We look forward to having you join in the conversation so bring your insights and questions as we look at these occupations and ways of life. Mark your calendars, book your seat, and join us for an evening of exploration and camaraderie. See you there!

Skill level:  All, beginners welcome

Leads: Diana Pecar, Elizabeth Gordon and Sally Skulte
