Topic: Life of a Colonial Woman

Traces of colonial women are hard to find. We know they worked hard, they supported their husbands (or not) and they raised and educated the next generation of colonials.

But what of their lives? Did they own land? Did they do business? Were they law abiding?

Come along to our meeting and hear from two authors who have delved into the lives of colonial women - Catherine Bishop and Damien Gleeson. Catherine and Damien will share with us the intricacies and pitfalls of what it was to be a Colonial Woman.

Our guests will be followed by our usual segments with Lorraine's Books and Resources, Sharon’s Quirky Corner and Quiz Master Andrew.

As well, Pauline Weeks will brief us on the March meeting of the Aotearoa New Zealand Research Group and the February 2027 AFFHO Congress.
