As a modern family historian, working with photos and images is an important task to capturing your family stories and memories.  This course is designed to introduce you to key concepts when working with photos and images.

You’ll learn how photos are saved on your computer as files, how size and quality work in photo files, and how photos can be saved as different file types depending on what you want to use the photo for.

You’ll also learn how photos work differently when printed, and what you need to be aware of to make sure your photos come out of the printer looking great.

Concepts such as crop, rotate and adding text will also be explored using free software.

There will also be plenty of time for your own questions and practical examples.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their own laptop to learn the necessary skills.  Computers will be made available for those unable to bring their own device.

Delivered in person by Andrew Redfern, a trained educational IT specialist, this course will be highly practical and hands on, paced appropriately to the members of the group.

This course is FREE, being delivered as part of the BeConnected Program, an Australian government initiative committed to increasing the confidence, skills and online safety of older Australians

These sessions are aimed at those aged 50 years and over, however anyone who would like to improve their digital literacy is welcome to register.

Max: 12 Participants. Refreshments will be provided.
