Guest Presenters: Darryl Low Choy and Reg Mu Sung

Darryl's presentation is titled Against the Odds: How I found my Chinese Roots and discusses how finding and visiting his paternal and maternal ancestral villages were significant milestones for him but more importantly it was the journey to these milestones that has been most memorable and rewarding. This is despite the many frustrations, blind alleys, roller coaster rides and disappointments. They were all part of the experience. Hence, some 70 years since Darryl first learnt that he had Chinese origins, he was able to stand and walk in the very village spaces of his ancestors in China. Darryl is so pleased that he can now share with his descendants the details of their shared Chinese roots.

Reg's presentation is titled Tigers from the Fragrant Mountain:

journey from China to Australia of a family that arrived before 1865.
