    This webinar examines a global volunteer project to "plant" genealogy tree and DNA information for those who served in the Great War whose bodies have yet to be recovered. The project aims to create a resource to assist in identifying remains found on the battle fronts.

    Hear stories of the people, the places, and the buildings of Circular Quay and The Rocks. This is a walking tour and is not suitable for the less mobile. Wear suitable clothing and bring a hat. Limit 15.

    DNA Painter - the online tool for chromosome mapping

    This session will explore the features offered by DNA Painter, a fabulous user friendly resource that helps you make sense of your DNA results. This includes the shared cMs tool, chromosome mapping and ‘what are the odds’. We will also look at and compare the new Charting Companion tool for the Maguire Method. 

    This session is suitable for intermediate DNA researchers. These sessions focus on the application of a range of DNA tools in practice, so participants need to understand basic DNA concepts.

    Presenters: Veronica Williams and Gail Bryant     Bookings essential: $12 members, $17 non-members

    The discussion topic will be Visual Phasing. The session will discuss the advantages/disadvantages of using Visual Phasing to advance your DNA research. Some pre work is required to ensure effective discussion and will be distributed upon registration. 

    This session is suitable for advanced DNA researchers. It is a discussion group and participants are generally required to undertake preparation work.
