    Presenters: Tiphanee Athans and Danielle Lautrec   Bookings essential: $65 members, $85 non-members (Fee covers all three sessions)

    This three-part course will guide you through the steps of writing blog posts about your family history. Learn tips to get people’s attention, and make your posts interesting and informative for relatives and non-relatives. This course requires that you already have a blog set up. If you do not already have a blog, instructions will be provided before the course starts. Bring your own laptop. Contact us if you wish to attend but do not have your own laptop, as we may be able to make arrangements.

    The course takes place at fortnightly intervals on Thursdays, on 23 August, 6 September and 20 September. Bookings close 4pm 21 August.

    Join Geneablogger, Jill Ball (GeniAus) in this workshop. Those who blog will reflect on their blogging practices and pick up tips for giving their blogs a facelift. During the session we will have fun as we cover Purpose, Voice, Content, Design, Collaboration and other Bits and Bobs. Those interested in blogging will learn about the process and pitfalls. (BYO laptop and internet connection along to get the most out of this session.)

    What strategies can we use to be more innovative with our family history research? What steps may we take to enhance the stories of our family so that they are relevant to our family? By adding layers of details and contextual information over births, deaths and marriage dates we can produce an informative and relevant document. This session will focus on the questions to ask and the places to seek additional details, along with considered analysis and interpretation which may result in a stimulating and thought provoking story.
