    External Tour - 08:00am - 04:00pm  Research trip to the NSW State Archives

    Bookings essential: $25 members only  [bookings close 4pm 10 October or when full]

    Please note price has been reduced from the printed program. Limit is 10 people plus a waiting list of another 10. If we get sufficient interest we will utilise the waiting list and hire a bigger bus.

    Join a bus trip to State Archives’ Western Sydney Records Centre at Kingswood. Do some research in the reading room and bring your walking shoes if you wish to participate in an optional behind the scenes tour of the facility. The tour takes approximately one hour and involves stairs. BYO lunch. You need a reader’s ticket and should pre-order up to four records one week ahead of the visit. * NB Price includes bus transport to & from the archives. Pick up/drop off from Richmond Villa 120 Kent Street or Strathfield train station.

    The Pentrich rising was an armed uprising in 1817 that began around the village of Pentrich, Derbyshire, in the United Kingdom. Fourteen of the revolutionaries were convicted of treason and transported to Australia in October 1818. Come and hear about their stories and view the exhibition, in commemoration of their arrival.
