Conditions under which children in the workforce were employed by many industries were often dangerous and arduous. Large poor families considered employment, whether at home or industry, to be more important than education to keep them out of the workhouse. This session will discuss Acts enforced by Parliament to address the treatment of the children, reports submitted and other documents.
This session has been cancelled due to low numbers. If you have booked and paid, please contact the SAG office for a credit or refund.
