    Guest speaker John Cardinal from the USA: John has developed a program call GEDSITE, which compiles a customisable web site or writes HTML files on CD/DVD, using a GEDCOM file as the input data. Programs that can write a GEDCOM or use GEDCOM as their native file format will work with GEDSITE.

    NB. This topic will be of interest to all software users, not just those using TMG. The speaker is presenting remotely from the US via webinar. If you register and pay, you will receive the recording even if you do not attend on the day.

    “Asylum” is perhaps a word that people do not wish to use, but it was certainly a reality of life that carried a great stigma. The institutions were for children and adults who suffered with mental or physical disabilities and often shut away from public life. But who put them into Asylums and why? What was their life like? Were they ever treated and later released? Have records survived and where are they? Finding some answers to these questions may unravel family mysteries.
