The Society of Australian Genealogists launches our new series to help you further you delve into those mysteries, answer some tricky questions and perhaps even knock down those research brick walls.
Our new 'members-only' series, Family History Connect, will feature themed sessions focused on a particular area of genealogy research. Sessions are generally facilitated by one of the Society’s wonderful volunteers and will take place in-person at our Family History Research Centre & Library (2/379 Kent Street, Sydney NSW) with some exceptions. These sessions are open to all current members of the Society.
These group sessions will be an opportunity for you to discuss research strategies and approaches, get ideas for source leads and next steps.
Details for each session will be included in the event listings below. Generally, bookings will be required and for some sessions, you will also be able to submit questions in advance.
Our first session Family History Connect | Aotearoa New Zealand will be facilitated by our Aotearoa New Zealand Research Group Lead and expert in all things NZ, Pauline Weeks. This will be a great opportunity to ask questions about sources for research and hopefully track down those ancestors that might have crossed the ditch.
If you are a member of the Society and would like to facilitate a session on your area of interest either in person or online, please get in touch.
