The Society of Australian Genealogists (SAG) is a not-for-profit organisation which exists to encourage an interest in family history and to provide resources which will assist both members and non members to trace their own genealogies.

We are fully committed to protecting the privacy of our members and of users of this site. Any personal information we collect will only be used for the purpose intended, such as to fulfil an order placed through our online shop or to publish and display information you provide to assist you in making useful connections with other family historians. We will not knowingly pass your personal details on to any other individual or organisation without your implied or express permission.

The Society cannot be held responsible for the privacy practices of other websites linked from this site.

Online ordering facilities offered by the Society are securely processed through an external global payment gateway (www.eway.com.au) which processes our customers’ online credit card payments and remits the funds directly to our bank. The Society does not at any stage hold the full credit card details you supply as part of such online transactions.

Some parts of our site such as the SAG’s online library catalogue require the use of 'cookies' to retain session and search parameters and results during your browsing on our site. The Society holds copyright in the contents of this site, including all catalogues, databases and research guides.
