Venue Hire

Our headquarters at 120 Kent Street, in the historic Rocks area of Sydney, are known as Richmond Villa. This attractive sandstone building has a richly historic past. It was erected in 1849 by the Colonial Architect, Mortimer Lewis, as his private residence, facing the Sydney Domain and was dismantled in 1976 to make way for additions to Parliament House and  re-erected on its current site by the New South Wales Department of Public Works. The Villa was officially opened in February 1978 as our headquarters.

The Society altered its hiring arrangements for the Villa at the beginning of 2010 and it is now only available for small functions and private dinners on an occasional basis - all enquiries should be directed to the Executive Officer.
