10.30am-12.30pm. Civil Registration of life's events from 1837 was compulsory, but how correct was the information? Did the recording of the event get as far as the Registrar?  Did the event take place? Did they have something to hide?  Unfound events can often make us wonder, or have we just missed the recorded event. The talk will include what lay behind registration, these conundrums and other places to research, adoptions, divorce, bigamy and lots more.  Presenter: Pauline Kettle.
